BDP Holdings is a New Jersey based real estate investment company specializing in the acquisition, development and repositioning of real estate in the New York Tri-State area and select markets throughout the United States. The firm’s leadership has over 25 years of experience investing in over $6.5 billion of value-driven real estate in more than 30 states.

Many properties we acquire are distressed with complicated ownership or capital structures, environmental concerns, or tax issues for sellers. TEAM
David Placek
Mr. Placek is the Managing Partner of BDP Holdings. He is an experienced real estate investor and developer with more than 17 years experience investing in more than $4.0 billion of real estate throughout the United States. Mr. Placek’s expertise and experience includes the acquisition and development of millions of square feet of commercial property and over 30,000 units of residential property including developing, investing, financing and rehabilitating mixed-use, retail, office, industrial and multifamily properties in more than 30 states. He also has substantial experience with properties having environmental concerns or complicated legal and tax issues or structures.
Mr. Placek’s experience includes leading Shopoff Realty Investments’ east coast development platform as well as the national commercial investment platform. Prior to his tenure at Shopoff Realty Investments, Mr. Placek was a Director
with DRA Advisors, LLC – a national leader in real estate investing. While at DRA Advisors, Mr. Placek sourced and managed investments throughout the United States, and also served as chairman of the company’s Valuation Committee.
Mr. Placek started his career at Ernst & Young, working in the firm’s Irvine, California; Sydney, Australia; and New York City offices. Mr. Placek, his wife and three children reside in Montclair, New Jersey and is very active
in educational and art related initiatives within the community.
Dennis Lim
Mr. Lim is a Principal of BDP Holdings and oversees the company’s acquisitions and asset management. He has over 10 years of experience in property acquisitions, dispositions, financing and management in multiple product types including multi-family, retail, office, industrial, redevelopment and mixed-use properties. During this time, Mr. Lim has worked on over $2.5 billion of transactions totaling 11 million square feet of property.
Prior to BDP Holdings, Mr. Lim served as a Vice President of Shopoff Realty Investments, in the Commercial Property Division and oversaw acquisitions and asset management. During his tenure at Shopoff Realty Investments, Mr. Lim helped grow the Commercial portfolio from its infancy to $325 million in valuation based on total capitalization. Prior to Shopoff Realty Investments, Mr. Lim served as an Acquisitions Manager for The Bascom Group, LLC, a real estate private equity company with over $3 billion in assets under management. At the Bascom Group, LLC, Mr. Lim worked on acquisitions nationwide totaling $1.5 billion.
Mr. Lim graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Irvine.
